Our Core Beliefs:

We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word, wholly trustworthy and wholly true, complete as the revelation of God's will for salvation and the supreme and final authority in all matters to which they speak ( 2 Timothy 3:16 ; 2 Peter 1:20, 21).

We believe in one God who is the Creator and Sustainer of all things and who exists in three Persons : the Father, the Son and  the Holy Spirit.  The Son proceeds from the Father and the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son.

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, who is perfect in holiness, wisdom,  power and love and "whose mercy is over all His works and whose will  is ever directed to His childrens'  good" (UMC Modern Affirmation).

We believe that Jesus Christ is God's eternal Son who has existed with Him from the beginning (John 1:1, 2).   He possesses the same nature and attributes as the Father and the Holy Spirit.  We believe that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.   We believe that He was sinless, substituted His life on the Cross for all mankind,  was bodily resurrected from the dead, ascended  into Heaven and that He intercedes for believers today.
( 1 Timothy 2: 5,6 )

We believe  the Holy Spirit  indwells every person who has professed faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38).  We believe that every Christian receives at least one gift from the Holy Spirit that is meant to be used for the benefit of other Christians in the body of Christ (Romans 12:1-8; I Corinthians 12:12-31;  Ephesians 4:11-13).

We believe in original sin.  All of us have inherited original sin from our first parents,  Adam and Eve.
(Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23 ; 5:12).

We believe in justification by faith alone through the righteousness and blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:22; Ephesians 2:8, 9).

We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Christ is the head.  The true church is composed of people who have professed saving faith through Jesus Christ and have been regenerated through the Holy Spirit.  We believe that it is necessary that every believer in Christ attach him or herself to a local body of believers so that each individual believer can contribute his or her gifts to the church and also receive the gifts and graces from other believers in Christ. (Hebrews 10: 24,25 ). We believe in two sacraments -  Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

We believe  that all Christians are to glorify God in their lives and that our conduct should be blameless, that we should be good stewards of everything that God has entrusted to us for the time we are on earth.  We believe that we should grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ ( 2 Peter 3:18).

We believe in the literal return of Jesus Christ and His ultimate victory over earthly powers with a new heaven and new earth (John 14:1-3; Revelation 15:4)  We believe in the resurrection of the righteous to eternal life and those who have rejected Christ to hell.  ( John 3:36 ).
